A prayer
Original writing, not a quotation of Scripture.
Lord, I keep replaying what I did and I can’t seem to let myself off the hook, even though I know you already have. If you don’t hold this against me, help me stop holding it against myself. I confess it again, not because you need to hear it twice, but because I need to release it again.
Teach me to receive the same grace I would so easily offer someone else in my place. Let me walk forward as someone made new, not someone still paying a debt you already cancelled. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You know what I did, God, and I've told you, and you've forgiven it. Teach me to stop signing a verdict you already tore up, and let me look at myself the way you look at me.
