Single and longing for companionship
When you feel unseen, forgotten, or alone.

God sets the lonely in families. He brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land.
Yahweh God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him.”
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up.
Yet I wish that all men were like me. However each man has his own gift from God, one of this kind, and another of that kind.
Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
A prayer

Lord, I long for someone to share life with, and the waiting feels long and sometimes discouraging. You know this desire in me; you placed it there. Help me not to put my life on hold while I wait, and help me not to settle out of loneliness either.
Teach me to be content in this season without losing hope for the next one. Whatever you have for me, let me trust your timing more than my impatience. In Jesus' name, Amen.
