He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”
Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more.
Yahweh’s name is a strong tower: the righteous run to him, and are safe.
Yahweh’s angel encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.
But now Yahweh who created you, Jacob, and he who formed you, Israel, says: “Don’t be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name. You are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Lord, someone I love is in a dangerous situation right now, and I feel helpless being unable to protect them myself. I place them in your hands, because you can go where I cannot. Surround them with your protection, give them clear thinking in the moment, and bring them through safely.
Calm my own fear while I wait for news, and let me trust you with what is completely outside of my control. Watch over them right now, wherever they are. In Jesus' name, Amen.
