Don’t reject me in my old age. Don’t forsake me when my strength fails.
The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree. He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. They are planted in Yahweh’s house. They will flourish in our God’s courts. They will still produce fruit in old age. They will be full of sap and green,
Even to old age I am he, and even to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear. Yes, I will carry, and will deliver.
Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day.
So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Gray hair is a crown of glory. It is attained by a life of righteousness.

Lord, my body doesn't do what it used to, and some days that's harder to accept than I expected. Thank you that even as I'm wearing down on the outside, you are still renewing something in me that doesn't fade with age. Help me grieve what's changing honestly, without pretending it doesn't bother me, and help me also find real gratitude for the wisdom and depth this stage of life has given me.
Walk with me through the changing seasons of this body and this life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
