Lord, this transition into retirement brings up more questions about who I am than I expected it to. So much of my identity got wrapped up in my work, and now I'm not sure what fills that space. Show me what you have for me in this next chapter, and help me see it as an open door rather than a closing one.
Give me purpose that doesn't depend on a job title, and help me use this new freedom well, for you and for the people I love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
