No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
For I don’t know what I am doing. For I don’t practice what I desire to do; but what I hate, that I do.
Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

Lord, this addiction has a grip on me that feels stronger than my willpower, and I'm tired of promising myself this time will be different. I believe you can set me free, even though I don't fully understand how that freedom will come. Give me the courage to be honest about how deep this goes, and to accept the help of the people, programs, and professionals who know how to walk alongside someone fighting this.
I don't want to do this in secret anymore. Set me free, one honest day at a time. In Jesus' name, Amen.
