Struggling to adjust to change
For new addresses, new countries, and the goodbyes in between.

“For I, Yahweh, don’t change; therefore you, sons of Jacob, are not consumed.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Of old, you laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you will endure. Yes, all of them will wear out like a garment. You will change them like a cloak, and they will be changed. But you are the same. Your years will have no end.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.
Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness.

Lord, so much has changed so fast that I don't feel like myself. The routines I leaned on are gone, and I keep reaching for things that aren't there anymore. You do not change.
You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. Be my fixed point while everything else moves. Give me patience with myself while I adjust, and help me notice the new things you are already doing.
