Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
“Don’t be afraid, for you will not be ashamed. Don’t be confounded, for you will not be disappointed. For you will forget the shame of your youth. You will remember the reproach of your widowhood no more. For your Maker is your husband; Yahweh of Armies is his name. The Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer. He will be called the God of the whole earth.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you.
Cast your burden on Yahweh and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.

Lord, I never imagined my marriage would end like this. There are forms to sign and a house to divide and people asking questions I can't answer yet. Part of me is angry, part of me is ashamed, and all of me is tired.
You are close to the brokenhearted, and that is where I am. Guard my words when I'm hurt. Give me wisdom in every negotiation, and carry me through the nights that feel longest.
