My parents are divorcing
For the ache and the rebuilding when a marriage breaks.

When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up.
I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you.
Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
Yahweh himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged.”
Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

God, my parents are splitting up, and the ground I grew up standing on feels like it's moving. I love them both, and I hate feeling like I have to pick. Remind me this is not my fault and not mine to fix.
When everything at home feels uncertain, be the steady place I can come back to. Heal my mum and my dad, and help me love them both honestly through this. In Jesus' name, Amen.
