But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established.
Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory.
Give your servant therefore an understanding heart to judge your people, that I may discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this great people of yours?”
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps.

Lord, whatever I decide will change things for people who aren't in the room. I want to get this right, and I'm afraid of getting it wrong. Give me wisdom beyond my own.
Surround me with honest advisers, and help me listen to the ones who disagree. Show me the fair path, even if it isn't the popular one. When I have decided, give me peace, and help me carry it out with compassion.
