Prayers for business and enterprise
My business is struggling
For founders, owners, and anyone whose livelihood is on the line.
Also for business failing · losing money · cash flow · no customers · bankruptcy · slow sales · closing the shop · debt · business stress · payroll · economic downturn
For though the fig tree doesn’t flourish, nor fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive fails, the fields yield no food; the flocks are cut off from the fold, and there is no herd in the stalls: yet I will rejoice in Yahweh. I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!
My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread.
“Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
Know well the state of your flocks, and pay attention to your herds: for riches are not forever, nor does the crown endure to all generations.
Give a portion to seven, yes, even to eight; for you don’t know what evil will be on the earth.

Lord, the numbers aren't adding up. I check the bank balance more than I should, and I lie awake thinking about rent, suppliers, and the people who depend on this business for their wages. Give me clear eyes to see what needs to change, and courage to make hard calls.
Send the right customers and the right advice. Even if the fig tree does not blossom, I will trust you. In Jesus' name, Amen.
