Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

Lord, I see my teenager making choices that worry me, and I feel my control over their life slipping in ways that are hard to accept. I raised them the best I knew how, and now I have to trust you with the rest. Protect them from the consequences of foolishness where you can, and use even their mistakes to teach them where you must.
Keep the door of our relationship open, and give me wisdom to know when to speak and when to simply keep loving them well. In Jesus' name, Amen.
