Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things.
Turn my eyes away from looking at worthless things. Revive me in your ways.
I will set no vile thing before my eyes. I hate the deeds of faithless men. They will not cling to me.
Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.
Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life.
For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ.
A prayer

Lord, I pick up my phone to rest and put it down feeling smaller. Twenty minutes of other people's best moments and I forget every good thing in my own day. Turn my eyes from what drains me.
Give me the self-control to close the app, and the courage to unfollow what keeps pulling me down. Fill my mind with what is true and lovely instead, and let me be present with the people actually in the room. In Jesus' name, Amen.
