A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps.
There are many plans in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail.
But I trust in you, Yahweh. I said, “You are my God.” My times are in your hand. Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me.
saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Yahweh, I know that the way of man is not in himself. It is not in man who walks to direct his steps.
A prayer

Lord, I hold on tight to everything: my schedule, my family's choices, how other people see me. I call it being responsible, but most of the time it's fear. My times are in your hands, and they always have been.
Loosen my grip one finger at a time. Help me do my part faithfully and leave the outcomes to you. Not my will, but yours, even when yours is harder to see.
