But Moses’ hands were heavy; so they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side. His hands were steady until sunset.
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up.
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Peter said to him, “You will never wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I don’t wash you, you have no part with me.”
Four people came, carrying a paralytic to him. When they could not come near to him for the crowd, they removed the roof where he was. When they had broken it up, they let down the mat that the paralytic was lying on. Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”
Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established.

Lord, I'm good at helping and terrible at being helped. I would rather struggle alone than let anyone see I can't cope. When Moses' arms grew tired, Aaron and Hur held them up, and the battle turned.
Teach me that needing people is part of how you made us. Give me the humility to say yes when someone offers, and the courage to ask before I fall apart. In Jesus' name, Amen.
