He won’t break a bruised reed. He won’t quench a dimly burning wick. He will faithfully bring justice.
For it was not an enemy who insulted me, then I could have endured it. Neither was it he who hated me who raised himself up against me, then I would have hidden myself from him. But it was you, a man like me, my companion, and my familiar friend. We took sweet fellowship together. We walked in God’s house with company.
I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I will cause them to lie down,” says the Lord Yahweh. “I will seek that which was lost, and will bring back that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick; but I will destroy the fat and the strong. I will feed them in justice.” ’
He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
“Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls.

Jesus, the people who hurt me were supposed to be the safe ones. That makes it harder to trust anyone who says they speak for you. You were wounded by religious people too, and you never break a bruised reed.
Be gentle with me. Heal what they damaged, and help me tell the difference between your heart and their failures. When I am ready, lead me to people who will love me the way you do.
