I will set no vile thing before my eyes. I hate the deeds of faithless men. They will not cling to me.
“I made a covenant with my eyes, how then should I look lustfully at a young woman?
How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word.
Turn my eyes away from looking at worthless things. Revive me in your ways.
“The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!
No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Lord, I keep ending up in places online I'm ashamed of, usually late at night when I'm tired or lonely. I want to make a covenant with my eyes the way Job did. Give me the humility to put real barriers in place and to tell someone who will hold me accountable.
When I fail, let me run back to you instead of hiding. Wash my mind clean, and fill it with what is pure and true. In Jesus' name, Amen.
