Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
God sets the lonely in families. He brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land.
They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and prayer.
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up.

Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms.

Lord, building real community in this new place is harder and slower than I expected it to be. Help me put myself out there even when it feels awkward or uncertain, instead of retreating into isolation because it's easier. Lead me to people who will become real friends, not just familiar faces.
Give me patience while these relationships take root, and help me be a good friend to others while I wait to find my own community here. In Jesus' name, Amen.
