Lord, family gatherings shouldn’t feel this tense, but old history keeps resurfacing and I don’t always know how to navigate it gracefully. Give me patience with people I didn’t choose but still love. Help me set healthy boundaries without cutting people off, and help me forgive without pretending nothing happened.
As much as it depends on me, let me be a peacemaker in this family, not another voice adding to the noise. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
