Moses’ father-in-law said to him, “The thing that you do is not good. You will surely wear away, both you, and this people that is with you; for the thing is too heavy for you. You are not able to perform it yourself alone.
Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up.
He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall; but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.
“Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.
He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.
Cast your burden on Yahweh and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.

God, I love the person I'm caring for, and I'm running on empty. I can't remember the last time I slept through the night or did something just for me, and then I feel guilty for wanting to. Jethro told Moses the work was too heavy to do alone.
Show me who can share this load, and give me the humility to ask. Renew my strength for tomorrow, and meet me in the moments I feel resentful. In Jesus' name, Amen.
