The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender.
Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.
The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously.
My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Don’t you be one of those who strike hands, of those who are collateral for debts.

Lord, this debt feels like a weight I can’t set down, and some nights the math keeps me awake. I am not asking for a shortcut, just for wisdom to dig out step by step and for provision along the way. Help me be disciplined with what comes in and honest about what needs to change.
Free me from the anxiety this creates even before you free me from the debt itself. Walk with me through the slow, unglamorous work of getting back to solid ground. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
