Or don’t you know that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.

Lord, heaven is celebrating, and so are we. Thank you for bringing this person to yourself. As they go down into the water and come up again, let them know that the old has gone and the new has come.
Root them deeply in you. Give them hunger for your word, friends who will walk alongside them, and a church family to grow in. Finish the good work you have begun.
